The talent show was a unique event from all the ICC events I had participated so far. It involved more of a student to student / direct interaction with the viewing participants. Usually, ICC events involve guests, circles or other students from other schools engaging with the participants in activities. The beauty of events such as the talent show in this sense, is that the students are directly participants and viewers at the same time. They are given the chance to express themselves through their own personal act, by showing it to other students. Everyone has the chance to activity participate in it, which highlights the important of personal expression and communication through doing what one person loves.

It would have been great if the talent show was actually hosted in the theatre rather than the place it was held. Mainly due to the atmosphere I could create for the guests. Having that GOT TALENT! Feeling would’ve increased the cognitive importance and feel very authentic. The only downside would be the more limited space for socializing and free time, especially if food is included (thing that was really appreciated by everyone).

Having more talents would also make the show from the spectators view more fun and enjoyable, but that is something that is beyond just organization but also about students willing to take part in it.
That being said, the event was absolutely amazing and definitely one of the events I will absolutely never forget in my university days. As an exchange student I cannot feel but grateful that I had the chance to participate as a spectator to such an event. Sadly, in my university such events or organizations such as ICC are literally non-existent so I was truly amazed by the amount of effort and organization that was put into it and it shows. Keeping students connected and creative are very hard things to do, though such events are great ways to foster that attitude. I cannot help but feel that I want to watch more, which is why I think this event was possibly the highlight of the ICC events of this semester.
