Oishii (Delicious), Healthy, Tanoshii (Fun), and Yasashii (Kind)
Why not come and experience this culture of Omusubi (Onigiri) ?
Omusubi is Japan’s beloved soul food.
The word “Omusubi” carries the beautiful meaning of “tying together” or “forming a good connection” between people. Once you master how to make them, you can pack them in your lunch box or recreate them back home to share Japanese culture with others.
In this workshop, you will learn the techniques and philosophy of the late Hatsume Sato, known as the “Mother Teresa of Tohoku.” We will have a “Musubi (Onigiri) Artisan” to teach us how to make soft, fluffy, and perfectly rounded onigiri, following the method of Hatsume Sato.
The instructions are gentle and easy to follow, so anyone can do it!
Let’s make, eat, and enjoy intercultural exchange through Omusubi!
