Would you like to experience the timeless art of Kabuki?
ICC is hosting an event that explores the captivating world of kabuki, a traditional Japanese art form that has fascinated audiences for generations with its vibrant performances and powerful expressions.
We are honored to welcome kabuki actor and Waseda graduate Ichimura Takematsu, who will share insights through a presentation and video of an upcoming “Arashi no Yoru ni” performance at the Kabukiza Theatre in December.
You will also have the chance to try striking a “mie” pose (a signature pose in kabuki) and handle the tools and props used in kabuki.
For those interested in Japanese culture, kabuki specifically, or making new friends, this is a great opportunity – No kabuki knowledge is needed!
