To start the 2022 Fall semester, the ICC will again offer the popular outdoor event, hiking at Mt. Takao!
Mt. Takao is an ideal choice for hiking beginners, seeing 2.5 million climbers each year. It earns rave reviews from people all over the world and even has three-stars in France’s Michelin Guide! Each climb is an opportunity to create great memories.
Along the trail we will see the great Yakuouin temple, the main temple of the Shingon sect of Buddhism. Having this taste of history will only make you enjoy the hike more.
Takao is also home to a huge variety of nature and wildlife, with crystal clear streams, 1600 species of plants, and over 100 different species of birds. Bring a camera or have your phone fully charged to capture the precious moments you will encounter!

Of course we will take the normal Covid‐19 precautions: separating in small groups, wearing masks and maintaining social distancing. We will also provide hand disinfectant.
