Bamboo Shoot Hunt @ Tokorozawa Campus (2022)

Early spring is the season for delicious bamboo shoots, the ivory-colored sprouts of an edible species of bamboo. The tender, crisp shoots are used in numerous Asian dishes, including Japanese.

Join us for a special trip to hunt them at Waseda’s scenic Tokorozawa campus!

After the bamboo shoot hunt, you’ll enjoy a walk around the Tokorozawa Campus and a social time. We will also guide you to popular spots on the Tokorozawa Campus including Totoro’s Forest, which was the model for the famous movie “My Neighbor Totoro”!
