Korean pop culture has become something we see every day.
And this boom hasn’t stopped in Japan, but has spread all over the world.
Through pop culture there are of course many people who have become interested in wider Korean culture.
Now at the ICC, we bring you an event where you can feel the charm of Korean culture from traditional through to today’s pop culture in a variety of ways.
This 1st part of our “Korean Culture Week” will focus on both traditional and modern culture.
In this event we will have presentations from Korean students, a traditional performance of “Pansori” singing, traditional Korean clothing to try on and traditional games to play as well as traditional Korean musical instruments you can try playing yourself!
There will also be Korean food and drinks to taste as well as Korean cosmetics for participants.
There will be plenty of souvenirs for you to take home and enjoy!
This is your chance to get a real taste of Korea in just 90 minutes through this amazing content!

Choi Hyeong Seon
A performer of the 5th National Intangible Cultural Property of Korea; Pansori.
She was the main singer for Korean cultural broadcaster MBC’s 30th anniversary traditional outdoor performance of “The Princess and the Idiot” and has performed in countless other concerts for the state. As part of these activities she has performed not only in Japan but also abroad in places like Carnegie Hall in the United States and continues to tour in various countries across the globe.
