Infectious Disease

In order to prevent the spread of highly Infectious diseases at school, school students who have contracted any of the diseases listed under Table I: School infectious Disease Prevention Policy will not be allowed to come to school during the “suspension period of coming to school” based on the authority of relevant Japanese law*1.
Students who have contracted one of the diseases indicated below are required to notify the university immediately.

Class Ⅱ Coronavirus (COVID-19) Exclude until at least 5 days have passed since the onset and also 24 hours have passed after symptoms have abated.
Seasonal Influenza (Flu) Exclude until at least 5 days have passed since the onset and also 48 hours have passed after the fever subsided.
Pertussis (Whooping Cough) Exclude until the distinctive cough disappears or until the end of 5 days of treatment with an appropriate antibiotic.
Measles Exclude until 3 days have passed after the fever subsided.
Epidemic Parotitis (Mumps) Exclude until 5 days have passed from swelling of the parotid glands, submandibular glands, or sublingual glands has appeared and the condition has been recovered.
Rubella (German Measles, Three-day Measles) Exclude until the rash has disappeared.
Chicken Pox (Varicella) Exclude until all blisters have dried.
Pharyngoconjunctival fever (Adenovirus) Exclude until 48 hours have passed after the main symptoms have disappeared.
Tuberculosis (TB) Exclude until the treating physician states that the student is not considered to be infectious.
Meningococcal Infection
Class Ⅲ Cholera Exclude until the teating physician states that the student is not considered to be infectious.
Shigellosis
Enterohemorrhagic Escherichia Coli Infection (O157 etc.)
Typhoid Fever
Paratyphoid Fever
Epidemic Keratoconjunctivitis
Acute Hemorrhagic Conjunctivitis
Other Infectious Diseases※ Please report us only if the treating physician has required you absent from school due to the risk of infection.

※Infectious gastroenteritis (viral gastroenteritis), Salmonella infection (excluding typhoid fever and paratyphoid fever), Campylobacter infection, Mycoplasma infection, Haemophilus influenzae infection, Pneumococcal infection, Hemolytic Streptococcal infection, Hepatitis A, Hepatitis B, Hand, Foot and Mouth disease, Herpangina, Erythema infectiosum, Acute Bronchiolitis (RS virus infection, etc.), EB virus infection, simplex Herpes infection, Herpes zoster, etc.
