The GS Center releases activity reports annually.
This guide discusses basic knowledge on gender and sexuality, tangible actions that individuals and groups can take on, and more. Please utilize this guide to create safer environments for circles and extracurricular activities so that all students, including LGBTQ+ students, can enjoy the activities free from fear and anxiety.
In the “Rainbowing Waseda Project,” for the 2022 WASEDA ALLY WEEKS, our student staff took the lead in creating and displaying posters to introduce the diversity of gender and sexuality.
These posters can be now accessed as infographics.
“A Faculty and Staff Guide to Inclusive Practices for Gender and Sexual Diversity” is a tool to help deepen faculty and staff members’ understanding of gender and sexuality and better support LGBTQ+ students by responding appropriately and providing accommodations that meet students’ needs.

Based on the concept of Universal Design and our aim to create an inclusive campus, information related to the Restrooms for Everyone (daredemo restrooms), childcare facilities, and barrier-free facilities, such as entrances, slopes, and elevators, are on the map.
As the following signage for the Restrooms for Everyone (daredemo restrooms) at each campus shows, the amenities of each restroom, such as wheelchair compatibility, ostomate compatibility, diaper-changing table, baby chair, care bed, and changing board, are indicated with icons. Anyone can use those restrooms.
Please refer to the Waseda University Campus Accessibility Map for locations.
A video content was created with the purpose of increasing the number of allies (those who acknowledge and support sexual minorities.) The content includes; 1. Concepts related to LGBTQ+/SOGI; 2. Things you can do to become an ally; 3. Coming out of the closet and outing; and 4. What to do when someone comes out to you or when you are having troubles.
