Research Summary

Institute for Global Health conducts multi-disciplinary collaborative research towards the international goal to ensure healthy lives and promote well-being for all at all ages.
First, we conduct research on international norms of health and human rights, as well as inclusive social development achieving the Sustainable Development Goals(SDGs). Currently, our researchers are interested in rights to survival and health, life and medical ethics, child health, sexual and reproductive health and rights(SRHR), health at workplace, health in the ocean, migration and health, health in an aging society, disabilities and health, housing and health, food/nutrition/water and health, climate change and health, planetary health, and etc.
Second, we conduct research on laws, institutions, organizations, policy, industry-academic-government partnership, and health education. We are interested in promoting equity through universal health coverage (UHC), narrowing the gaps at the national, regional and global levels. Our researchers also conduct research on global health diplomacy and global health governance in promoting planetary sustainability and realizing UHC, leaving no one behind.
We hope that our research outcomes contribute to the SDGs, particularly the Goal 3, to be achieved by 2030.
