Research Theme
This Institute aims to advance Regional Collaboration Studies as an emerging academic discipline by systematizing regional collaboration and community engagement—key social missions of the university—and linking them directly with real-world practice.
Drawing upon the diverse expertise of researchers across the university and the accumulated experiential knowledge from prior regional initiatives, the Institute will generate both interdisciplinary “integrated knowledge” and field-based “practice-based knowledge.” These outcomes will serve as the foundation for conducting fieldwork, collaborative research with local partners, and project-based learning (PBL) led by students. Through these efforts, the Institute will foster human resources equipped with strong implementation skills and build sustainable, co-creative partnerships between the university and regional communities.
Ultimately, the Institute seeks to integrate the outcomes of its research, education, and engagement to present a transferable, university-driven model for addressing complex regional issues.
