In March 2025, Professor Yasuo Kawakami of the Faculty of Sport Sciences, Professor Shinji Takeoka of the Faculty of Science and Engineering, and Adjunct Researcher Fumiko Tanaka of the Comprehensive Research Organization visited The Chinese University of Hong Kong.
Waseda University and The Chinese University of Hong Kong have been engaged in a number of academic and student exchanges since the two universities concluded a university agreement in 2002. The Faculty of Sport Sciences has a connection with Professor Raymond Tong of the Department of Biomedical Engineering through the Global Sport University Network (GSUN) summit, and in January 2025 Professor Raymond Tong visited the Tokorozawa Campus.
This time, Professor Kawakami, Professor Takeoka, and Dr. Tanaka, whose expertise can be smoothly associated with the research line of Professor Tong, visited CUHK and deepened their exchange while having a tour in his laboratory and holding a seminar with introduction of ongoing research projects and possible future collaborations.
It is hoped that this visit will lead to further research and academic exchange between The Chinese University of Hong Kong and the Faculty of Sport Sciences.
