【Abstract】This public lecture focuses on the differences in concepts of justice and legal cultures in Germany, the United States, and Japan. The discussion of the lecture examines how the American liberal market economy,  the German social market economy, and Japan’s consensus-oriented culture are reflected in contract law and constitutional interpretation. This lecture identifies common challenges within contemporary legal systems.
