As discussions on big data protection have been developing around the world, Japan has introduced a system of the shared data with limited access through the revision of the Unfair Competition Prevention Act in 2023. In this public lecture, Professor Nari Lee of Hanken School of Economics will make a research presentation on data governance related to data sharing and disclosure, focusing on the latest developments in Europe and a comparative analysis with Japan. Professor Masabumi Suzuki of Waseda University will provide comments from the perspective of Japan.
