According to the mission and future of Graduate School of International Culture and Communication Studies (GSICCS) — “Towards a New Style of Graduate Program”, renowned for effectively dealing with contributing to society and enhancing a truly international community, GSICCS has established a vision, which deeply impresses me. Waseda University, with its unique integrated character, fruitful curriculum, and university-wide educational and student life environment, is developing various exchanges involving learning, culture, languages and values. These exchanges are aimed at the cultivation of human capitals who will contribute to global society through their own initiative. The aim of my research is to examine the effects of using English in Japanese-based multinational corporations. Having devoted myself to developing organizational communication systems for a short while along with considerable time spent in researching data customer service in systematic inductive reasoning science for the communicational sector, I developed a particular interest in integrating concepts from these two fields and, then, applying them to emerging communicational sector. These two ingredients are definitely crucial to my ability to fully realize my career aspirations. In the future after accomplishing my master study, I hope to develop a strong career as a language policy researcher, which I can contribute my dedication and scholarly vision to the field by bridging the gap between native English speakers and non-native English speakers. I am confident that GSICCS would provide me with the opportunity to equip my ability to the professional image.
