In November 2025 (27-28), Professor Detey co-organized the (I)PFC2025 International Conference in Paris (Maison de la Norvège, CIU) with Helene N. Andreassen, UiT Arctic University of Norway (Norway),
Marie-Hélène Côté, University of Lausanne (Switzerland), Isabelle Racine, University of Geneva (Switzerland), Elissa Pustka, University of Vienna (Austria) and Julien Eychenne, University of Sherbrooke (Canada). During the conference, Prof. Detey co-presented a paper with Prof. Eychenne (Sherbrooke University, Canada) and Dr Fontan (Archean Labs, France) about Functional Load and Entropy in French, as well as another paper with Prof. Durand (Toulouse University, France) and Prof. Lyche (Oslo University, Norway) about the native speaker, the standard speaker and the normative speaker. During his research trip in France, Prof. Detey was also invited to give a presentation at the UTL (Le Mans University) entitled “Make French Great Again: what language tells us about us, and what society has to say about it” (in French).
