February 3, 2026, the Waseda University History Museum added fine‑grained records for its “Honbu Documents” collection (早稲田大学本部書類) within the Waseda University Cultural Resource Database.
Formerly the web catalogue displayed 120 entries at the level of a single document (one record per item). By incorporating multiple sub‑entries for each document, the total now stands at 19,960 records; the quantity and numbering of the underlying physical items remain unchanged.
Previously, a search for “Koizumi Yakumo” (Lafcadio Hearn) yielded no results.

The previous web catalogue yielded no results for a search on Koizumi Yakumo (小泉八雲)
After the update, that same query returns five entries.

The revised version, however, returns five matching records.
Usage information
Details on viewing and copying are set forth in the user guide.
When requesting use of the “Honbu Documents” collection, please specify the desired material at the record level rather than by document unit. The identifier “5‑XXX” denotes an individual document; “5‑XXX‑YYY” indicates a sub‑entry (one record) contained within that document. In most cases, “5‑XXX‑000” refers to the record for the front cover and table of contents of a bound volume.
For viewing the materials, we’ll provide A3 or A4 printouts of the digitized data. Photographs may be taken with a digital camera or smartphone; however, removal of the printed sheets is not permitted.
