Digital Archives: The Modern Japan History with the Conservatives and Progressives ╢
In the more than 140 years since the founding of Tokyo Senmon Gakko, we have compiled a list of those who have contributed to the founding of the school, as well as university faculty and alumni. The database focuses on basic information on the history of individuals, especially those related to Waseda University.

Waseda Biographical Database ╢
“Waseda Gakuho” was first published in 1897 (Meiji 30). The original publisher was the Waseda Gakkai, and the contents are almost the academic journals, but from No. 171 published in 1909 (Meiji 42), the publisher became the Waseda University Alumni Association, and the contents gradually became the alumni magazine. In 1944 (Showa 19) during the war, it was forced to be discontinued with No. 581, but it was republished in 1948 (Showa 23) after the war and continues to be published to this day.

“Waseda Weekly” was published with the name “Waseda” on March 20, 1966, and continued to be published on paper according to the situation of the times, and now it disseminates information about Waseda University in the form of a web magazine.
The Waseda University 150 Years Chronicle consists of three volumes: Volume 1 covers the period from the establishment of the Tokyo Senmon Gakko in 1882 through the era of the old-system universities following the University Ordinance; Volume 2 covers the period from the founding of the new-system Waseda University in 1949 until around 1990, when the standards for university establishment were streamlined; and Volume 3 covers the period from around 1990 to the present.
The Centenary History of Waseda University was published between 1978 and 1997, comprising a total of eight volumes: the main series (Volumes 1–5), Supplementary Volumes I and II, and the “General Index and Chronology.”
The construction of the digital book site was carried out as part of the compilation project of the Waseda University 150 Years Chronicle, it aims to be widely open to the public.
