(Updates) Covid-19 vaccine booster shots (3rd dose) at Waseda University

Dear students, faculty and staff,

University-based Covid-19 vaccine booster shots (3rd dose) will be available from Monday, April 11, 2022. The University has prepared a website* specifically for university-based vaccination registration which will be accessible from Thursday, March 24. You can start booking your vaccination appointment through the website from Tuesday, March 29 onwards.

*The website URL will be sent to your Waseda Mail address  on Thursday, March 24. New students will be sent their mail on Monday, March 28, so please obtain your Waseda ID by then. For individuals who do not have a Waseda ID, a tenured faculty member or full-time staff will contact you separately. If you have family members who are eligible for vaccination, please share the URL with them.

Period of vaccination:

Scheduled from Monday, April 11, 2022 to Friday, May 27, 2022
*Vaccinations will be available on the Saturdays of April 23 and May 21. Please check the website for more details.

Waseda Campus: Okuma Garden House (1st and 3rd floor)

Eligibility:

The following individuals who fulfill the conditions 1) or 2), and are able to bring their Covid-19 booster shot (3rd dose) vaccination voucher on the day of vaccination.

1) Based on the criteria set by the Japanese government, individuals aged 18 years and older who have completed two Covid-19 vaccination doses (including doses received outside of Waseda University) and are either:

• Students of Waseda University (including those from the Art and Architecture School, non-degree students, non-regular students, both Waseda University-affiliated Senior high schools, Waseda Jitsugyo high school)
• Faculty and staff (including those from Waseda University affiliated schools, all researchers, part-time lecturers, temporary staff, Waseda University affiliated companies, all affiliated elementary, junior, and senior high schools in Tokyo, as well as other University related personnel from all campuses) and their families
• Retirees who are insured under Waseda University Health Insurance Society

2) All individuals who received two doses of their Covid-19 vaccination at Waseda University in July and August 2021 but are/will not be studying in, or employed by the University during the period of vaccination due to reasons such as having graduated or retired, etc.

If you have received your 1st and 2nd Covid-19 vaccination doses at Waseda University between July and September 2021, and have yet to submit your Covid-19 vaccination vouchers from your municipality of residence (at the date of vaccination), please check the following URL.
