On June 16, Yui Susaki (second-year student at the School of Sport Sciences) beat Rio gold medalist Eri Tosaka and emerged champion in the Women’s 50kg Wrestling National Invitational Championships. Congratulations Yui!

Yui suffered an injury in her left elbow and had to sit out the game last year. Nevertheless, she has trained hard over the past year and made a great comeback. She is now looking to win the playoffs on July 6 to earn a place to compete in the World Wrestling Championships.
