On 24 December, the Japan Skating Federation announced the figure skaters to represent Japan in the upcoming PyeongChang Olympics. Despite withdrawing from the Japan Figure Skating Championship due to a right ankle injury, Yuzuru Hanyu’s past spectacular achievements have guaranteed him a place on the qualifying list. The existing student from the School of Human Sciences has yet again done Waseda University proud.
