Waseda University became the first university in Japan to be featured on TOEIC®’s Why English Matters program website.

Used around the globe to measure English communication skills, TOEIC® is taken by students and businesspersons interested in learning English as a tool for study and work.

Educational Testing Service (ETS), which develops and conducts TOEIC®, launched the website Why English Matters. The website demonstrates the practical usefulness of English through examples such as business and science. The Video Documentary Series, spotlighting the importance of English for communication in global businesses and organizations, is especially popular among people who aim to perform on the international stage.
