Alumna Natsumi Hoshi wins gold medal at World Swimming Championships

Japanese swimmer and Waseda alumna Natsumi Hoshi won the 200m butterfly gold medal at the World Swimming Championships in Kazan, Russia.

Hoshi’s victory marks the first time a Japanese woman athlete has won gold at this competition. As a result of this victory, Hoshi has been selected to represent Japan at the 2016 Rio de Janeiro Olympics.
