Waseda’s baseball club was victorious at this year’s Tokyo Big6 Baseball League spring competition and 64th Japan Collegiate Baseball Championship. A victory parade celebrating the baseball club’s accomplishments was held in and around the Higashifushimi campus which houses Waseda’s baseball stadium.

The procession which included team manager Hiroshi Kawaguchi, coach Hiro Takahashi Hiroshi, team captain Ukyo Kawahara, baseball club members, and Waseda’s oendan and cheerleaders marched approximately 800 meters from Nishi-Tokyo to Fujicho where they arrived at Higashifushimi campus. Approximately 500 supporters gathered along the road to offer their cheers of support.

This parade was made possible thanks to the support of local residents, the Waseda Club, Jonathan’s Coffee & Restaurant, the Tanashi police department, Higashifushimi Shoeikai, and Seibu Railway Co., Ltd.
