Advice from HR – What attributes are employers looking for?
Thu, May 28, 2015What attributes are employers looking for? What are employers looking for at interviews? In this article we hear from a HR representative from beverage company Kirin.
Speak with confidence
At Kirin interviews we ask students and listen closely about their achievements in university. We take approximately 30 minutes to ask questions about their motivations, experiences, and hardships.
Many students struggle to explain why they would like to join a certain company, but we do not generally ask this question at Kirin. We use interviews to learn about the applicant’s personality, energy, and perspectives and what they can offer to the company. Therefore, I would like everyone to speak with confidence at interviews.
Advice from Career Center
Interviewers focus on two things, the interviewee’s personality and their compatibility with the company and are looking for special characteristics that can contribute to company success. During an interview, consciously try to communicate your natural characteristics.
