Schedule for the Autumn 2025 Graduation Ceremony

The Autumn 2025 graduation ceremony for undergraduate and graduate students will be held on Saturday, September 20th.
Only graduates are invited to attend the ceremony. The event will be streamed online (with subtitles in English and Japanese), and a live broadcast viewing area will be set up on Toyama Campus for guardians of students.
The date, time, proceedings, and rules of the ceremony might change in the event of an emergency.
Note: The information on this page is regarding the main graduation ceremony. Some schools may have separate ceremonies planned. Please refer to your affiliated school’s homepage for information related to events and ceremonies to be conducted by your school.

Live broadcast viewing area for guardians of students
- We will set up a live broadcast viewing area for guardians of students in the bldg.32, Toyama Campus (The viewing will have a monitor displaying the online stream with English and Japanese subtitles).
- How to get the bldg.32.
- There is no limit to the number of visitors per family at the live broadcast viewing area.
Please note:
- Both the ceremony venue and the simultaneous broadcast venue are scheduled to open one hour before the ceremony starts. Please note that it will take some time to enter the ceremony venue (Waseda Arena), so please come to the venue at least 30 minutes before the ceremony starts.
- The monitor in the viewing area will be displaying the same footage as the online stream (with English and Japanese subtitles)
- There will be 1 sign for commemorative photos that says “Waseda University graduation ceremony” (in Japanese characters only 早稲田大学卒業式), located at each of the following locations: Shigenobu Okuma Statue, next to Building 1, and Okuma Garden. The Okuma Garden (Waseda campus) is open from 8:00 – 17:00, but closed if it’s raining.
- Please use public transportation when traveling to the ceremony. If you must travel by car, there is no parking available on campus, so please use coin parking or other public parking spots near the venue. Do not park your car on the street under any circumstances.
- Graduates with support requests, such as guidance within the venues, seat reservations, or considerations for attending with children, please contact the General Affairs Section four weeks before the day of the graduation ceremony. The University will try to accommodate such requests.
