Waseda tops all Japanese private universities in number of newly adopted projects under MEXT’s Grants-in-Aid for Scientific Research

On November 11, Japan’s Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology (MEXT) announced the top 10 research institutions with the most number of newly adopted projects under the Grants-in-Aid for Scientific Research project. In terms of institutions with the number of newly adopted projects, Waseda University ranked fourth overall, beating all Japanese private universities. In the evaluation, Waseda also ranked first out of 65 research fields, namely 1) Economics and Management, 2) Language and Literature, 3) Law and 4) Mathematical Analysis and Applied Mathematics.
