Curry is popular in the summer, but it’s important to think about nutrition as well

Stamp rally health quiz

This is a daily required amount of vegetables. Are you eating enough?
On June 11, the annual “Health Festival” was held at Okuma Garden House. The “Health Festival” is an event where students learn about nutrition and exercise and is part of an initiative to create a health oriented campus. Students participated in courses where they learned proper stretching techniques and attended lectures hosted by Kagome Ltd. Students sampled a summer themed vegetable curry and tomato tofu salad, consulted with nutritionists, and participated in a stamp rally. During the nutrition quiz, students were asked seemingly obvious true and false questions such as “Even before going to bed, it is good to have one meal” and “Thick flavor soy sauce contains more salt than light flavor soy sauce.” However, students were dumbfounded when they discovered both statements are false.
A fulfilling student life begins with one’s mind, body, and health. How about reconsidering your daily eating habits and beginning a healthy lifestyle? Summer is just around the corner!
