Tetsuo Kida is Chief of Higher Brain Function Unit in the Institute for Developmental Research, Aichi Developmental Disability Center (Kasugai, Japan). He received his Ph.D. from the University of Tsukuba, and was Postdoctral Fellow in National Institutes of Health (Bethesda, United States) and Associate Professor in WIAS at Waseda University and National Institute for Physiological Sciences (Okazaki, Japan). His research activities focus on brain dynamics in attentional, multisensory and sensori-motor processing in health and diseases using neuroimaging and neurophysiological methods.

OKAMOTO Yuko
Associate Professor, Waseda Institute for Advanced Study, Waseda University

Research Field:Experimental Psychology
Yuko Okamoto is Associate Professor at the Waseda Institute for Advance Study, Waseda University, Japan.   Her research is based on experimental psychology and cognitive neuroscience about autism spectrum disorders.  She especially focused on the development of visual systems and their contribution to the individual difference in social and sensory characteristics.  She is also a leader of the Japanese site of the U21 Autism Research Network which aimed to understand the cultural diversity of autism.

YAMAGUCHI Aya
Assistant Professor, Waseda Institute for Advanced Study, Waseda University

Research Field:New Types of Jurisprudence
Aya Yamaguchi is an assistant professor at the Waseda Institute for Advanced Study, Waseda University.  She received her PhD in social information studies from Graduate School of Interdisciplinary Information Studies, the University of Tokyo in 2017.  Her main area of research is the Sociology of Law and Elder Law, especially legal support for elderly people and their access to legal services.

NISHIDA Nao
Assistant Professor, Waseda Institute for Advanced Study, Waseda University

Research Field:Cell Biology

Nao Nishida-Aoki is an Assistant Professor at the Waseda Institute for Advanced Study at Waseda University.   Nishida-Aoki’s research interest lies in cell-to-cell communication within tumor tissues.  Nishida-Aoki received Ph.D. degree of Agriculture from Kyoto University, followed by postdoctoral training of cancer research at National Cancer Center Research Institute, Japan, and Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center in Seattle, WA, USACurrently, Nishida-Aoki focuses on cancer cell-normal cell communication via transferring extracellular vesicles, nano-sized vesicles packed with cellular information, from one cell to another.  Nishida-Aoki’s study is to elucidate how cancer cells communicate with the surrounding non-cancerous cells to modulate them into cancer-supportive phenotypes utilizing a physiological tumor tissue model. 

HUANG Jie
Designated Assistant Professor, Institute for Advanced Research, Nagoya University

Research Field:Area studies
Huang Jie received her Ph.D. in Area Studies from Kyoto University.  She is currently a designated assistant professor at the Institute for Advanced Research (IAR) of Nagoya University.  Her research interest lies primarily in the fusion and dynamics of folk beliefs in Southeast Asia countries and Southern China, as well as the History and Society of the Tai People.
