Have you ever lived with people of different nationalities and backgrounds in a share house or homestay?
Living together, you may find yourself thinking, “What a custom!?“ or, “This is completely different from what I expected!” You may have been shocked at some of the differences. Home is an environment where we can realize the importance of recognizing and sometimes accepting each other’s differences.
On the other hand, unfortunately, there are still some cases in the world where racism and xenophobia persist.
Shouldn’t we learn from the share house space how to live free of discrimination and prejudice, and practice what we can do in our immediate surroundings?
ICC will hold an exchange workshop where you can experience the atmosphere of co-living! Experience a multicultural society and the importance of recognizing other opinions and values by simulating life at a shared house and engaging in dialogue.
This event will be held in collaboration with BORDERLESS HOUSE Inc., a pioneer in international exchange co-living! The company’s vision is “to create a truly multicultural society in which people can live together in harmony regardless of race or nationality,” and they provide multinational communities and experiences that foster mutual understanding, both in Japan and overseas. You can also interact with the staff who manage the shared houses on a daily basis.
Please join us and enjoy this one-night-only co-living experience!
