“I’m interested in volunteer work and international cooperation, but I don’t know what I can do”
“I want to do an internship at an NGO, but it is hard to find information”
“I want to know more about developing countries and the field of international cooperation”
Do any of these thoughts sound like you?
ICC has invited four international cooperation NGOs that hire student interns to share their knowledge and experiences! Interns and staff members of the NGOs will talk about the current situation in developing countries, their efforts there and the opportunities for students to help.
There will be time for participants to visit booths of each NGO to ask questions and interact with them.
You can discover facts and attractions of NGOs and international cooperation that you won’t find just by searching the web. You also have the chance to make connections with people at the NGOs and find internship opportunities. You may have a once in a lifetime encounter!
Sign up and take the first step toward working in international cooperation!

NGO Accept International
We are a Japanese NGO that seeks to resolve terrorism and conflict under the principle of “Accept” rather than “Exclude.” In addition to efforts to integrate former gang members and terrorists in conflict zones such as Somalia and Yemen, we are also working in Japan to support foreigners, especially Muslims, and to reform the probation system. Since our establishment in 2011, we have been working to address the needs of those who have been overlooked for a variety of reasons, despite the great need. We aim to realize a society where “no one is truly left behind” by focusing on issues that need to be addressed.
SHAPLA NEER = Citizens’ Committee in Japan for Overseas Support
Shapla Neer is an international NGO established in 1972. We are active for poverty alleviation especially in South Asian countries such as Bangladesh, Nepal, and also in Japan. We focus on child rights issues such as elimination of child labor and minimizing the gap of primary education, and community disaster risk reduction as well. We aim to realize a society where no one is left behind, through the power and linkage of people.
PARC Interpeoples’ Cooperation (PARCIC)
The mission of PARCIC is to extend direct support to people afflicted by violence or natural disasters and to help them achieve self-reliance. We hope to develop relationships between peoples as fellow human beings. Although we understand the role of sovereign countries and international organizations as unions of sovereign countries, we focus on building direct, equal, and inter-human relationships with people in developing countries. We focus on inter-peoples’ cooperation and fair-trade around Asia.
NGO Kamonohashi Project (Japanese Only)
We are a non-profit organization headquartered in Tokyo. Since our founding in 2002, our mission has been to create a world without human trafficking. With the experience and insights, we gained in Cambodia, we officially expanded our activities to India (2012) and Japan (2019).
