Since 2019, Eslite Spectrum Nihonbashi has been showing Japan the many charms of Taiwan, such as its local life and creative designer brands!
On June 2, ICC will host Taiwan’s traditional confectionery maker KUO YUAN YE, one of the main exhibiting companies at Eslite Spectrum Nihonbashi, and YUAN, a brand of skin care goods with naturally derived ingredients, for a hands-on workshop where you can actually touch, experience, and interact in collaboration!!
In KUO YUAN YE‘s workshop, you can learn about the history and traditions of Taiwanese sweets, including its birthplace, Taipei’s Shilin district, and even try decorating your own cookies with icing. In addition, in the YUAN workshop, you can actually make ball-shaped handmade soap, kneading it with your own hand. You can experience Taiwanese life and its deep culture up close by making Taiwanese sweets and natural care products derived from plants!
If you want to know about eslite, selected as one of the “coolest department stores in the world”, or if you are interested in Taiwanese sweets, skin care, and culture, or if you want to interact with new people and make friends, join this event and discover the charm of Taiwan!

YUAN
Established in 2005 to create a brand rooted in the local area of Taiwan, it started with environmentally friendly handmade soap based on the Eastern health consciousness, and then added herbal essence and oils, from hair, body, skin and oral care, to pet shampoo and household products. Based on the brand philosophy of “considerateness, creativity, aesthetics”, YUAN also handles original products in collaboration with traditional Taiwanese industries.
KUO YUAN YE
Founded in 1867, the Chinese confectionery store in Taipei has a history of more than 150 years. It features various products in the Nihonbashi and Yurakucho areas of Tokyo, including classical products such as Taiwanese rakugan (dry confection of starch) and pineapple confectionery, and also develops modern products in collaboration with designers.
