Did you know that the name Brunei Darussalam means “country of eternal peace”?
With its famous golden mosque and rich nature and diversity, Brunei often evokes the image of an abundant and safe country in people’s minds. In fact, in this country filled with natural resources, there is no income tax or resident tax, and education and even the highways are all free! On top of that, splendid Islamic architecture, the world’s largest on–water settlement and the Islamic marketplaces are just some of the plentiful attractions available for tourists.
Further, Japan and Brunei have a long and close relationship that began with cooperation on energy and has since grown and become deeper on both sides.
Now at the ICC, in cooperation with the Brunei Japan Friendship Association, we present a special online café event with students at the University of Brunei Darussalam and Brunei Institute of Technology!
This is a great chance to talk directly with students in Brunei!
Students from Japan and Brunei will introduce their country, its culture and their universities, and participants will be split into small groups to chat together.
This is a fantastic opportunity to make new friends in Brunei during this period of travel limitations due to the coronavirus.
