I want to make new friends!
I want to chat with international students in Japanese!
I want to meet people interested in language exchange!
If any of those sound like you, we recommend the ICC Japanese Lunch.
This is an event for local and international students who want to make new friends and practice their Japanese conversation skills in a casual setting. Many Waseda students enjoyed meeting and chatting together in this event in the past.
This semester, as part of the measures to prevent the spread of the novel coronavirus, you can enjoy the lunch from home because we are holding on Zoom!
There will be Japanese native speaker supporters to help facilitate the conversation at a level you are comfortable with so you can chat and have a deep intercultural experience.
And this time, we have a special theme of “The Charm of Tokorozawa Campus”.
Japanese students who have never been to Tokorozawa Campus, you too should take this chance and join us for some online inter-campus exchange.
We will have some great explanations by our student supporters from Tokorozawa Campus about the beauty and charms of living and studying there.
This event requires pre-registration via MyWaseda.
We will hold 2 lunches, so you can come to either one or even both if you’d like.
Don’t delay, sign up today!
This is a great chance to make new friends even during this period when it is difficult to meet up face to face.
International students who want to practice Japanese, Japanese students who want to share your language with others, people from different campuses who want to make inter campus friends, we’ll be waiting for all of your applications!
