When you hear the “Philippines” what do you think of? I’m sure it is being in Cebu or another Philippine island, on a beach resort, over looking the blue ocean.
It is true that the Philippines has many Insta-spots like the white beaches, clear blue seas, and colorful fruit stands one usually thinks of. The Filipino people are also very bright, cheerful and friendly. Actually, recently the Philippines is becoming a popular study abroad destination for English learning, so as explained, this country is more than just their tourist attractions.
This time, the ICC is showcasing the first Philippine Country Festival, to introduce a country both rich in biodiversity and culture.
The event will begin with a presentation from the Philippine Embassy introducing recommended tourist spots, then another presentation from Waseda University Filipino students introducing Filipino culture, and then a special dance performance from the Philippine Cultural Dance Troupe of the Tokyo University of Foreign Studies. Additionally, participants will be given the opportunity to play a traditional Filipino game and try free local snacks straight from the Philippines!
This is your chance to learn facts about the Philippines which you won’t find in the guidebook! Come on over and don’t miss this amazing opportunity!
