The ICC presents a concert by popular accordion player and singer Aco Tomine!
She has gained fans not only in Japan, but around the world with her modern arrangements of Japanese and worldwide Min-yoh.
By loving and succeeding the Japanese Min-yoh, she is creating a whole new world of Min-yoh.
“Min-yoh” is the song made from everyday lives of people and passed down through generations.
Ms. Tomine adds her own original spice to these long popular Min-yoh that are entwined with local life in Japan and introduces “Man-yoh” which is brighter and more friendly song that is combined with comedy style talk.
Ms. Tomine’s talents have taken her to many places, from vaudeville which are the origin of Japanese entertainment to festivals and strolling fashioned live performance in the pubs and not only in Japan but also in America, Europe, Asia and around the world.
This time, the stage is the Waseda University ICC!!
The performance will include variation of a Puccini opera, but with Tozai Line stations as the settings of the songs!

With her accordion, Aco sings old Japanese folk songs (Min-yoh) in contemporary style as well as her original folk songs around the world.
