Do you like interacting with children? Would you like to visit a Japanese elementary school for a day? How about having lunch withkids and joining in their school activities? Then sign up now!
For this program Waseda students will get to spend a day chatting in English with pupils at a Waseda affiliated elementary school.
No Japanese language skills are needed and no advance preparation is required! Just enjoy chatting with the kids!
The program is a great opportunity to see what Japanese school life is like and is ideal for those interested in cross-cultural education, volunteering and exchanging with Japanese pupils.

*International students who can attend both programs are welcome!

| Theme: | “English Idioms” Talk about idioms with children in simple English. |
| Capacity: | 6 international students and 6 Japanese students (A lottery will be held if applicants exceed the capacity) |
【Program 2】
| Date & Time: | July 8 (Wed), 1:10-3:30pm |

| Class: | 6th grade elementary school students |
| Theme: | “Kokubunji Orienteering” Go to various points around Kokubunji and communicate with students in simple English. |
| Capacity: | 6 international students (A lottery will be held if applicants exceed the capacity) |

| Eligibility: | All Waseda students who can speak English. (Native level fluency is NOT required) |
| Registration: | Register online from Waseda-net Portal “Waseda-net Portal”→”System Services”→”Applications” [ICC Elementary School Visit (English) -Spend a day chatting with kids in English!-(July 3 & 8)] |
| Deadline: | June 24 (Wed), 9:00am (Results will also be announced by mail on this date) |
| Orientation: | June 26 (Fri) 12:20-12:40pm @ ICC (1F Bldg. 3) (*All selected participants MUST attend) |
*ICC staff will not accompany participants on to this event.
*Transportation expenses will be provided by the school.
*Although this is a volunteer program, participants will
be a part of a class at a scheduled time in an actual school,
and so dropping out of the program or being late is not acceptable.
