Waseda Summer Session

Hi, I am originally from Germany, but I study in the United States at Harvard University. I love Japanese culture, which has been a big part of my life so far, and have always tried to learn more about Japan, which is why I am extremely grateful to have the opportunity to live and study in Japan, especially here at the outstanding Waseda University for two months as part of the Waseda Summer Session.
Although the people in our program are absolutely wonderful and all share a super interesting international background, I have also been really interested in meeting Japanese students. I am grateful that the Waseda Intercultural Communication Center (ICC) has given us this great opportunity through its Meet and Mingle Party. It was so nice to meet so many Waseda students and make new friends! Everyone was really interested in getting to know each other and the People Bingo game was a great way to learn about everyone’s personal background!
I hope that the new bonds we formed will be long-lasting and I hope to meet more Waseda students in the future through other ICC events or at Waseda in general. If you spot me on campus, please come and say hi!
Thank you for the wonderful ICC event and the great time at Waseda and see you all again soon!
