Are you looking for a central location to eat your lunch?

◆Ikebana Workshop: Try your hand at the Japanese art of flower arrangement
Ikebana is the traditional Japanese art of arranging flowers for display. For this Ikebana event, a teacher from the ikebana school – Sogetu School – will give an ikebana demonstration followed by an ikebana workshop, where you can try making your own display.
After the workshop, you’ll be able to take the flowers with you as souvenirs that you can enjoy in your home! This is a great chance to see up close the skill of a ikebana teacher and receive instruction from her directly.

Make new friends while finding out more about Tokyo!
At “Discover Tokyo!”, work in teams with other Waseda students to create your perfect one day trip around Tokyo.
Various maps and brochures will also be available for your use!

◆ICC Photo Scavenger Hunt: Get to know the Waseda campus and make new friends
Wanna experience a different style of campus tour and explore Waseda while making new friends? If your answer is YES, then the ICC Photo Scavenger Hunt is the perfect event for you!
Participants will be grouped into teams of both Japanese and international students and must go around the campus and complete various given missions. This will be a great way to meet new people and explore the Waseda campus. So, what are you waiting for?

◆Origami & Japanese Chat Hour: Try some Origami & practice your Japanese!
Now that you’re in Japan you’ll want to practice your Japanese! So why not do so while trying some traditional Japanese Origami? Mix with local and other international students and start chatting and making new friends on campus. Everyone from beginners to advanced speakers are welcome to join!

◆Traditional Japanese Music & Dance: Listen to music performaces, join a dance workshop & try on a kimono!
Members of the Waseda Chikuyukai will perform Japanese music on instruments like the Koto and Shamisen. Afterwards there’ll be a Japanese dance workshop by Hanayagi Yoshijiro VI, a 22 year old e-school student at the Faculty of Human Sciences and a member of the Hanayagi School of Japanese Dance. You can even try wearing a traditional kimono. Don’t miss it! You’ll have the chance to dance on stage at Okuma Auditorium on Oct. 23rd (Fri)!
*You’ll be trying on the Yukata over your own clothes so please wear light that is easy to move in.
