In this event we will explore coffee from a deeper perspective, with a special focus on espresso. We will also take a closer look at Italian bar culture, which is deeply connected to espresso, and the profession of baristas who play a central role in it.
For this special event, we are excited to welcome Mr. Chihiro Yokoyama, Japan’s first officially certified Italian barista and Barista Maestro. He will give a lecture along with a live espresso-making demonstration. In addition, all participants will have the rare opportunity to taste authentic espresso prepared by him.

Mr. Chihiro Yokoyama
Japan’s first certified Italian barista. After training in France and Italy, he founded “BAR DEL SOLE” and pioneered the domestic barista industry. He is now a preeminent figure dedicated to sharing the passion of Italian bar culture and espresso with the world.
