なぜSSLとして応募したか Why I applied to be an SSL
大学入学後は英語で会話をする機会が欲しいと思っていた自分にとって、留学生と交流する機会をICCの活動を通して初めて得ることができました。またサークルなどで留学生と色々なことについて話したことや、一緒にサッカーをした経験がとても楽しかったことがきっかけで、今度は自分が留学生、早稲田生がともに楽しく交流できる機会を作りたいと思って応募しました。
As someone who wanted an opportunity to communicate in English after entering university, ICC helped me to get the opportunity to talk with international students for the first time. I also had fun experiences to talk with international students through club activities, and to play soccer with international students outside the university. For these fun experiences, I wanted to create a place where both international students and local students can have fun interaction, so I applied to SSL.
SSLとして働くことへのやりがい Why I like being an SSL
自分が今まで知らなかったことをたくさん学ぶことが出来るのがすごく楽しいです! SSLとして働く上で携わらせていただく先輩や職員、参加者の方を含めた多くの人から色々なことを学び、吸収していくとともに、自分がSSLの一人として何ができるかを日々考えていきたいです。
Learning a lot of things that I didn’t know before is so fun for me! I want to learn and absorb many things from a lot of people including SSL seniors, Full-time staff, and participants with whom I will interact as I work as a SSL while thinking what I can do as one of the SSLs.
多様性・異文化理解について一言 About diversity and cultural exchange
皆が同じように理解するものでなく、人それぞれ様々なきっかけ、方法から少しずつ理解していくものなのではないかと思います。
I don’t think that everyone understands diversity and cross-cultural in the same way, but rather that each person understands them little by little through different triggers and methods.
