Applying to GLFP was one of the best decisions I made academically and a wonderful way to round out my 4th year of University. My GLFP cohort and mentors helped create such a wonderful academic environment during my time in Japan. The student-led element of this program emphasized the peer relations between the US and Japanese student and was one of the strongest elements of this program. I was able to work on global issues both familiar and unfamiliar to me, and I had the chance to learn from my peers on all topics. If you want a chance to connect with different types of people and explore outside your comfort zone, I cannot recommend a better experience to apply for.
