【June 30, 2025 Updated】

We have restarted to provide the coupons for the  babysitter dispatch services.
You can use these coupons retroactively from the 16th June 2025.

【June 17, 2025 Updated】

We will be porvided the  babysitter dispatch coupons by ACSA on the 26th or 27th of June and restart to issue the coupons after that, so you may apply from now on.

*Please note that you can use these coupons retroactively from June 16, 2025, although it will be provided after ACSA provided the coupons.

【May 26, 2025 Updated】

The coupons which Waseda University has already received run out and we have stopped to provide them.
Therefore, we have suspended to issue them until our application for the additional coupons is accepted by All Japan Childcare Services Association.
*Please note that the additional coupons may be used for the babysitter services after the date that ACSA permit the additional issue to the university.

We have opened the application form for the coupons for the babysitter dispatch services. We will provide the coupons after April 16.)

<NOTES>

・You can use the initial coupons retroactively from the 1st April 2025. However, please note that you need promptly submit them to the sitter company as soon as possible. Otherwise, it would not be applicable, even within the retroactive period.
・Since it is a single-year business, those who used the service before 2024 will also need to apply in accordance with the “Applying for coupons / How to use” (*for the first time) listed on this page when using the service for the first time in AY2025. Please prepare the latest required documents listed.
・ Please request only the number of coupons necessary for the babysitting services you plan to use within the current month.
・As a general rule, please register to use the discount coupon on the day of use (according to the system of the All Japan Childcare Services Association (ACSA), it is not possible to register for register before the scheduled date of use).

Introduction

In order to assist faculty and staff can balance childcare and work, the University provides coupons for the babysitter dispatch services issued by the All Japan Childcare Services Association, which has been entrusted with providing the services by the Cabinet Office.

By using the coupons provided by the University, users can receive discount for either 2,200 yen or 4,400 yen from the daily babysitter service usage fee of each eligible child according to the fee amount.

[Reference] Overview of 2023 babysitter dispatch services

Eligible users	Faculty and Staff (limited to those enrolled in the University’s social insurance)
Eligible children	Children from the age of 0 to 3rd grade elementary school students (up to 6th grade elementary school students are eligible if they meet requisites that prove the services are necessary for their healthy development)
Terms of use	The following services are available for work-related reasons: Home childcare (not available for use outside of home) Drop-off and pick-up between home and childcare center *This service is only available for those who have difficulties in working due to their spouse also working; receiving medical treatment; doing job-search; attending school; receiving vocational training; etc., or due to being a single parent.
Discount amount	2,200-yen discount per coupon Only when the fee exceeds 2,200 yen or more per time.Usage fee refers to fees charged by providers for actual babysitter services. It does not include membership fees, transportation costs, cancellation fees, insurance fees, or other services. Receipt notation differs depending on the babysitter provider, so please verify with your provider regarding the coupon’s scope of use.
Available babysitter companies	Coupons can only be used for babysitter service providers designated by the All Japan Childcare Services Association . Please sign the contract in the name (joint name included) of the University faculty or staff who will use the service. *Please conclude an agreement (membership registration) with the babysitter provider beforehand.
Period of use	From April 1, 2023 To March 31, 2024
Limits on the number of coupons that can be used	Up to 2 coupons (1 coupon: 2,200 yen) per day (use) per eligible child are available. The maximum number of coupons for a household is 280 per year, up to 24 per month. *The number of coupons that can be issued are limited, so limitations regarding use may be adjusted if there are many applicants.

Applying for coupons / How to use

Apply for coupons

1. Sign a contract with the provider after verifying it is designated by the All Japan Childcare Services Association.

2. Fill in the required information into the application form and apply.

3. After applying, send required documentation to the Office for Promotion of Equality and Diversity.

【Required documentation】

Copy of contract concluded with babysitter provider and signed in the name of the user (applicant), or order form and documentation such as an application form that proves the user (applicant) is contracting a provider and receiving services.
Certificate of Spouse-related Documentation
・Spouse is employed:
– Example: Employment certificate (indicating weekly workdays and daily work hours).
・Spouse is undergoing medical treatment:
– Example: Medical diagnosis certificate.
・Spouse is actively job-seeking:
– Example: Confirmation of job applications or emails verifying participation in seminars or informational sessions.
・Spouse is enrolled in education:
– Example: Certificate of enrollment.
・Spouse is undergoing vocational training:
– Example: Certificate of course completion.
・Single-parent household status:
– Example: Proof of residency (indicating single-parent status).
If child is in the 4th grade or above: documentation that shows the child meets requisites which prove the services are necessary for their healthy development (copy of disability certificate, rehabilitation certificate, etc.)


Coupon distribution
After verifying the content of the application and the required documentation, the Office for Promotion of Equality and Diversity will send the URLs for the usage of babysitter coupons to the applicant via email.


How to use the digital coupons
After using the service, fill out required information, such as the date and time of use from the URLs for the usage of babysitter coupons. For detail, check the website of the All Japan Childcare Services Association(Japanese Only) That’s all you need for it.

Other

If one uses the coupon, including as special measures, the discounted amount will be regarded as Non-taxable income under income tax law.
