In conjunction with the Tokyo Marathon on March 2, 2025, people from Peking University and ASICS China came to Japan, and on February 28 they visited the Tokorozawa Campus of Waseda University. From the Faculty of Sport Sciences, Professor Masashi Miyashita, Associate Dean for International Affairs, Dr. Gaku Kakehata (Lecturer), and Dr. Haolu Shu (Assistant Professor *non-tenure-track) participated. In addition to an explanation of the Faculty of Sport Sciences by Professor Masashi Miyashita, there was a presentation by Mr. Katsuhiko Hanada, the head of the Ekiden team, and a talk session with the Ekiden team members, which helped to deepen the exchange. After the talk session, the participants did stretch and jogging on the sports ground with the members of the long-distance block of the Ekiden team.
It is hoped that this visit will lead to the development of a cooperative relationship between Peking University and ASICS China, including academic and personnel exchange.
