On January 8th 2025, Professor Raymond Tong of the Department of Biomedical Engineering at The Chinese University of Hong Kong visited Waseda University’s Tokorozawa Campus. After observing a class by Professor Yasuo Kawakami in the Biomechanics Laboratory in the morning with Professor Masashi Miyashita, Associate Dean for International Affairs, they held a luncheon meeting to exchange opinions on academic and research exchanges with the members of the Faculty of Sport Sciences.
After that, he gave a lecture at the 244th Tokorozawa Sports Science Study Group on the topic of “Exploring Advanced Training Facilities for Athletes: Innovations in Soft Robotics, Motion Analysis and Bilateral Treadmill Design”.
Following this visit, we hope to see the development of cooperative relationships with The Chinese University of Hong Kong, including research and personnel exchanges.
