Unveiling ceremony of jointly-operated laboratory for Big Data utilizing for the Traditional Medicine in Smart Health with Zhejiang Chinese Medical University
October 18th 2019 saw a remarkable and celebrating day for the 60th year anniversary of Zhejiang Chinese Medical University in China, one of our Departmental Partner Institutions, with the Faculty of Human Sciences at Waseda University participating into the relevant anniversary events including the captioned “unveiling ceremony of jointly-operated laboratory for Big Data utilizing for the Traditional Medicine in Smart Health” resourced from both universities, Zhejiang Chinese Medical University and Waseda University. Throughout the participation from four executive members at us, Professor Gemma, Vice President for International Affairs, Professor Fujimoto, Senior Dean of the Faculty of Human Sciences, Professor Jin, Deputy Senior Dean of the Faculty of Human Sciences, and Professor Ogihara, Director of Advanced Research Center for Human Sciences, both institutions ensured strengthening ties and cohesiveness each other.
Since the onset of Departmental Partner Agreement between the Faculty of Humanities and Sociology of Zhejiang Chinese Medical University and the Faculty of Human Sciences effective in February, 2017, reciprocal academic activities has been promoted comprehensively and expansively such as faculty and student resource collaborations and student’s incoming and outgoing exchanged programs. The Smart Health Joint Laboratory will take advantage of their characteristics and strengths at both of us to entirely solve various issues intrinsic in global health and promotion by the use of advanced ICT technologies such as big data, IoT, and AI based on the philosophy of traditional medicine and a human scientific approach.
We are looking forward to this joint laboratory establishment, thus leading to a full of success in further research collaborations.
