The Graduation Ceremony and Reception for the 28th EU Executive Training Programme (ETP) funded by the EU and operated by Waseda University was held at the Palace Hotel Tokyo on Thursday, November 7th, and attended by more than 250 guests.

Established in 1979, the ETP is a professional development programme funded by the EU (European Union) with a history of more than 30 years. The programme targets EU companies and business professionals looking to enter or expand their business into the Japanese marketplace, providing them training on how to do business in Japan. After operating the 25th to 27th cycles of this prestigious programme from 2006 to 2010, Waseda University is continuing to run the 28th to 30th cycles, which started in January, 2013. After spending seven months at Waseda’s campus studying Japanese and learning about Japanese business, the 31 participants from ETP28 went on to complete their internships in 36 different companies including Hitachi Ltd., Sony Corporation, and Mitsubishi Estate Co.,Ltd., where they put the language skills and business knowledge they acquired to practice.
