Updated: March 27, 2023

The University will be holding the Spring 2023 entrance ceremonies in April for all undergraduate and graduate schools. The ceremonies will be split into multiple sessions over two days to disperse the number of participants per session.

As a measure to prevent the spread of Covid-19, only new students are invited to attend the ceremony.* Prior to attending the ceremony, all new students must take their temperature before leaving home. If you have a fever or Covid-19 symptoms, you cannot attend the ceremony in person.
*A live broadcast viewing area will be set up on Waseda Campus for guardians of students.

The Spring 2023 entrance ceremonies will be broadcasted online. New students who are feeling unwell or do not feel comfortable coming to campus may view the ceremonies live online.

Note

  • The date, time, proceedings, and rules of the ceremonies might change due to the status of the Covid-19 pandemic at that time.
  • There may be school specific entrance ceremony events that are separate to the University’s main entrance ceremony. Details on the events organized by each school, including whether or not these events will be held, will be announced on their respective website when decided. Please check regularly.
