Waseda University won the struggle for the top spot against Tokai University, putting them one step closer to winning the league for the first time since 1968. In the 19th game, which was the final game, they faced off against Meiji University. The game went into two overtimes, and Waseda University won the fierce game clinching their first league championship in 57 years.
