Photo spots on Waseda Campus to welcome our new students!

Waseda University’s Spring 2025 entrance ceremonies will be held on Tuesday, April 1 and Wednesday, April 2 for all undergraduate and graduate schools. In order to ensure the safety of attendees and control the impact on traffic in the area, only new students are invited to attend the ceremony. A live broadcast viewing area will be set up on the Waseda Campus for guardians of students. The Spring 2025 entrance ceremonies will also be broadcasted online. However, the University has prepared a few opportunities for celebratory photos around campus to allow students to remember this monumental occasion.
Make sure to take many pictures during this time to remember your journey at
Waseda! When uploading photos to your social media channels, we would love it if you added #waseda and #waseda_university to your posts.

We would like to extend a warm welcome to our new incoming students. Congratulations and welcome to the Waseda community!

PHOTO SPOT MAP

We have prepared a map of photo spots on the Waseda Campus. Please use it as a reference for commemorative photo shoots with your family and friends. You can also download the PDF file from here.

In celebration, we are planning to set up a stuffed Waseda Bear dressed in a special outfit. The location is in front of the Waseda University History Museum, Building No.1, Waseda Campus.(10:00-17:00)

*Please do not touch the stuffed Waseda Bear.

“WASEDA” & “W” 3D blocks photo spot

There will be a photo spot set up in the Okuma Garden and by the entrance (gate) to the Okuma Kaikan with our new WASEDA” and “W” 3D blocks. Stop by with your family and friends to take a commemorative picture!

*As the blocks disassemble easily, please refrain from leaning on them or moving them.
*Depending on the weather conditions, we might not be able to set them up.
