Center for Positive Political Economy as a Top Global University Project, Waseda University is inviting Professor Francois Foret from Universite Libre de Bruxelles and Professor Steven Reed from Chuo University to organise an International Workshop on “Politics and Religion in EU and Japan”.

Professor Francois Foret, Jean Monnet Chair and Director of Institute for European Studies / CEVIPOL and Institute, is an expert on politics and religion in EU and recently published Religion and politics in the European Union. The Secular Canopy, Cambridge University Press, 2015.

Professor Steven Reed, not to mention, a grand master of election studies in Japan, recently co-edited Komeito: Politics and Religion in Japan, Institute of East Asian Studies, 2014. and recently works on politics and religion in Japan. We hope that this workshop will provide an occasion to think about politics and religion in comparative perspective.
